British Columbia Online Help Centre for Small Water Systems

A joint initiative of Interior Health (British Columbia) and Thompson Rivers University the Online Help Centre encourages ongoing educational development and certification of small water operators across the province by providing free resources in the form of documentation, courses and webinars.

SonicCat was involved in this project from the beginning, providing the design, development and implementation of Drupal to support a knowledge base of curated information for managing a small system. Over time the site was expanded to support promotion of courses and hosting expert webinars. The webinar series highlighted a truly engaged community of water operators with live attendance routinely topping 150 people. Leveraging the interest in personal knowledge building the Online Help Centre went on to develop online courses, implementing a Moodle system to host their courses for free to their community. SonicCat has been responsible for all technical aspects of this initiative from systems implementation to immersive course development.

SonicCat shares the Online Help Centre's enthusiasm for sharing and augmenting knowledge and has been thrilled to be part of the success of this project.
